Tuksedo Studio presented La Dolce Vita: Tuksedo Auto & Fashion Gala on 18
September 2026 in Bali, unveiling Firstlady, an original automobile inspired by the spirit and
aesthetic of La Dolce Vita, the Italian expression for the sweet life.
The Firstlady project began in 2026, following seven years of Tuksedo Studio’s work in
handcrafted classic automotive design and restoration, and is being developed in
collaboration with RANS, with its release targeted for 2027. Designed and built in Bali by an
Indonesian team, the car brings together the elegance and proportions of classic sports cars
with contemporary automotive technology, creating Tuksedo Studio’s interpretation of a
modern-classic automobile.
The inspiration of La Dolce Vita extends beyond the car itself. It represents a sensibility of
beauty, confidence, craftsmanship and the enjoyment of life, ideas that shape both the
automobile and the gala presenting it.
The evening will bring together automotive craftsmanship, fashion and art through La Dolce
Vita: Runway Presentation, presented by YMM, featuring 30 models and 10 national
designers. An accompanying art exhibition will further explore the relationship between the
automobile, fashion and contemporary Indonesian creativity.
The event will also mark the launch of Magnum Opus, a new Indonesian media platform
exploring culture, lifestyle, art, design, entertainment, travel, technology and the ideas
shaping contemporary Indonesia. The publication champions considered storytelling and the
physical magazine as a collectible cultural object.
With Firstlady, Tuksedo Studio enters a new chapter, moving from its heritage in restoring
automotive icons toward creating an original automotive expression of its own. Conceived in
the spirit of La Dolce Vita and brought to life in Bali, the project celebrates craftsmanship,
design and the possibility of creating something distinctly Indonesian for the world.
